There are three coalfields in Liaoyang-Haicheng, Yantai and Hanling, which are mainly distributed in Ximafeng, Xidabao, Jiantaizi, Huazi, Xidayao, Zhangtaizi, Hanling and Xuwangzi. The proven total reserves are more than 100 million tons, ranking fifth in the province, mainly anthracite, but also coking coal, fat coal, lean coal, lean coal and stone coal. The coal mines in Huazi area have a mining history of nearly a thousand years.
