The local name is Hashema. It belongs to Amphibia, Anura, Ranidae. Body length is 40-70 mm. The body is slender, the head is slightly higher, and the snout is blunt and slightly pointed. The skin is smooth, the back is light taupe or khaki, and there are scattered round warts or long warts on the spine and side. There are dark spots on the wart, and the dorsal pleats are slightly lighter; There is a dark brown stripe between the eyes; There are triangular dark brown spots on the tympanic membrane; The body side is yellow-green near the crotch, and there are dark brown and black stripes on the back of the limbs; There are 4-6 stripes on the thigh, and the inside of the thigh is yellow-green; The lateral thigh is red in flesh, with yellow warts scattered. The ventral surface of male frogs is mostly milky white, while that of female frogs is generally reddish brown. Rana chensinensis mainly lives in the ravines with good forest vegetation in mountainous areas, centering on streams and rivers, and its range of activities is about one kilometer. Usually, it begins to move from forest to water source area at the end of autumn, and first moves in shrubs and grass on the shore; It enters the shallow water area in early winter and moves to the deep water area in early November. From November to mid-March of the following year, it overwinters under rocks or among aquatic plants in deep water areas; In March, it resumed its activities in shallow waters. Generally, the hibernation is released around Qingming Festival, and they go to shallow water and breed in still water bend. The male first enters the spawning ground to sing, and then the female frog comes looking for the sound, chooses a mate and begins to hold the pair.
