Fossil millet is a specialty of fossil townships in Fuxin Mongolian Autonomous County, Fuxin City, Liaoning Province. Fossil millet is divided into white and yellow, with good rice quality, unique flavor and rich nutrition. Hua 1 Xiaomi is a national geographical indication protection product for agricultural products. Fossil townships are located in the hilly area in the northwest of Fumeng County, and the soil and climate resources are very suitable for the production of miscellaneous grains, especially millet, which not only grows well, but also has a good color and tastes sweet and pollution-free. Therefore, the millet of Huaji has always been a hot commodity of grain brokers. Since the 21st year of Kangxi, this millet has been given the title of Gong Mi of the Qing Dynasty. The unique geography, soil, water quality and climate environment have created this unique special flavor of Gong Mi. Because it is produced in a pure natural and pollution-free mountainous area, its nutrition is very rich. The contents of protein, lysine, vitamin A, carotene and other vitamins and essential trace elements such as potassium, sodium, calcium, manganese, iron, magnesium, zinc and phosphorus are higher than those of ordinary millet. In recent years, Xiaomi, a fossil township in Fumeng County, has sold well both inside and outside the province and has become a "fragrant cake" on the table of urban residents. In the past, the humble millet was sold to 2 yuan at the current price of one kilogram, and the refined millet was sold to 9.2 yuan at the supermarket price of one kilogram, which was well received by consumers. In 2014, the "Fossil Millets" declared by the Green Food Association of Fuxin Mongolian Autonomous County passed the examination of the Agricultural Products Quality and Safety Center of the Ministry of Agriculture and organized expert review, and implemented the registration and protection of national agricultural products geographical indications. The geographical protection scope of fossil millet: Laizhu Village, Wandehao Village, Bali Village, Kuntou Village, Hua 1 Village, 0 Color Village, Taiji ying zi cun Village and Harinuoer Village in Hua 1 Township under the jurisdiction of Fuxin Mongolian Autonomous County. The geographical coordinates are 121 11 ′ 00 ″ east longitude ~ 121 26 ′ 00 ″ north latitude ~ 41 54 ′ 00 ″ north latitude.
