Gushan Prunus mume has strong resistance to stress, is also more resistant to diseases and cold, and its yield is relatively stable, and its age is not obvious. It likes the growth environment with loose soil, good ventilation, active microorganisms and appropriate amount of fertilizer and water. The branches and leaves of the tree are similar to those of apricot trees, and the tree is strong. The height of the 17-year-old tree can reach about 5 meters, and it can bear fruit in 5 years after planting, and it enters the full fruit stage in 15 years. The average plant yield is about 150 kg, the highest plant. Prunus mume blooms in Donggou County in late April and early May, and matures in the middle and late July. One of the strains can be delayed to mature in early August, which is in the off-season of fruit and is well received by consumers. The self-pollination rate of Prunus mume in Gushan is low, so pollination trees should be arranged when planting value. If artificial pollination is carried out, the fruit setting rate can be greatly improved, and scientific pruning and strengthening fertilization management are also effective measures to increase production.
