Ice grape

In the middle of winter, it is the harvest season of ice grapes. Recently, more than 2,200 farmers in Beidianzi Township, Huanren Manchu Autonomous County, Benxi City, pulled a truckload of ice grapes with ice crystals and jade carvings and sent them directly to the local ice wine winery in exchange for stacks of hundred-dollar bills. On the same day, the second phase of the local Changyu Ice Wine Winery was successfully put into production, and the ice wine made from ice grapes kept coming off the production line. Beidianzi Township in Benxi is the only ice wine industrial base in China. At present, the township has formed a scale of 6,000 mu of ice grapes, which can produce more than 2,000 tons of ice grapes every year. In 2006, Changyu Liquor Company was successfully introduced to the township, which set up a long-term sales platform for the development of this industry. In September of that year, Changyu Liquor Company invested 50 million yuan in advance to build the first processing enterprise in China, which mainly produced ice wine, and adopted the business model of "company+base+farmers". In that year, it acquired 1,500 tons of ice grapes, and the sales income of farmers reached more than 10 million yuan.
