Pinus koraiensis seed in Caohekou

Korean pine seed kernel is a kind of pure natural green food with high nutritional value. It is rich in vitamins and essential fatty acids, oleic acid, linoleic acid and linolenic acid. After the liberation of Benxi, 7 hectares of Korean pine seedlings were planted in the spring of 1949, making this Korean pine forest the first large artificial Korean pine forest in China. "Caohekou Korean pine seed" benefits from this unique natural advantage and has also become a famous green food. In 2010, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine approved "Caohekou Korean pine seed" as a protected variety of national geographical indication products. (No.138, 2010). Scope of Origin The geographical indication products of Pinus koraiensis in Caohekou are protected. The scope of origin is the administrative areas under the jurisdiction of Qiaocao Village, Caohekou Village, Yunpan Village, Qijiabao Village and Zhenggou Village in Caohekou Town, Benxi Manchu Autonomous County, Liaoning Province. The seeds of Pinus koraiensis in Caohekou are protected products of geographical indications.
