Red Nanguo pear is a bud mutation of Nanguo pear, which was discovered by Fushun Specialty Research Institute in 1989 in Nanguo pear garden of Gounaidian Township, Qingyuan County, Liaoning Province. The fruit shape of Hongnanguo pear is nearly round, with an average fruit weight of 111.4 grams and a maximum fruit weight of 180 grams. The sunny side of the fruit is bright red, and the fruit surface is smooth and shiny. Fruit points are large and dense, nearly round. The stem depression is shallow and close to Hutan, with grooves; Calyx depression is deep, sepals fall off or persist. The pedicel is short and thin, the core is small, and the flesh is milky white. After harvest, the pulp is hard, sweet and crisp. After 10 ~ 15 days of ripening, the flesh turns yellow and white, and the meat is fine, soft and juicy.
