Jade carving is a traditional Chinese arts and crafts, which enjoys a high reputation in the world. Xiuyan is called "Jade Town", and xiuyan jade is famous at home and abroad for its fine and pure texture and abundant reserves. The production of Xiuyan jade carving began in the early years of Daoguang. Xiuyan jade carving is mainly made of small products, such as pen holders, paperweights, tea sets, wine sets, snuff bottles, jewelry, etc., which are mostly sold by jade merchants everywhere. In the 26th year of Guangxu reign in Qing Dynasty, there was a jade workshop in the south gate of the county, which was called Jade Street. In the late Qing Dynasty, Yang Chaogong, Yang Chaohua, Xu Kuiyuan and others in the county set up business houses in Dalian, Yingkou, Anton and other places, specializing in the distribution of xiuyan jade wares, which were sold to Japan and Southeast Asian countries and regions in addition to domestic sales. Through the efforts of artists of all ages, Xiuyan jade carving has been constantly innovating and gradually formed a unique artistic style with local characteristics. Its products have been sold to more than 100 countries and regions in the world and won many awards in China. Xiuyan has become one of the main production bases of jade carving handicrafts in China. Jade carving crafts in Xiuyan mainly fall into four categories: simple life, figures, flowers, birds and animals. The main treasures are: Luhe Yingchun, designed by Sun Guocai, the craftsman of the county jade factory, and carved by Chen Yuanqing, and won the National Handicraft Quality Appraisal Award in 1976; "What makes the sea noisy" was designed and carved by Li Zhongqian, a sculptor of the county jade factory, and was awarded the first prize of jade carving technology in Liaoning Province in 1980; "Guo Guo Basket" is an exquisite work with variegated colors. It was designed by Li Hongcai, a craftsman of County Jade Factory, and carved by Wang Xuewen. It was exhibited at the National Arts and Crafts Exhibition in 1978 and was selected to be exhibited in France. "Saitama Tower Kaoru? ? China's Lingguang, designed by craftsmen He Desheng and Shi Yanhai of the county jade factory, produced by Shi Yanhai, Baishi, Jiang Fengjie, Li Fumin, Li Enpu and Wu Yunlan, won the National Arts and Crafts Hundred Flowers Award Gold Cup Award in 1985 and was rated as a national treasure. In addition, there are many good products. In the 1980s, a jade city was built in Xiuyan County, and there was an endless stream of visitors.
