Sea island sea cucumber

Sea island sea cucumber is a specialty of sea island, Changhai County, Dalian, Liaoning Province. The five-spined sea cucumber produced in the waters around sea island enjoys a high reputation at home and abroad because of its more meat spines and higher nutritional value than ordinary sea cucumbers. Sea island sea cucumber is a national product protected by geographical indications of agricultural products. Sea island is surrounded by mountains, with steep terrain, with an average elevation of more than 250 meters. The Crying Maiding at an altitude of 373 meters is the highest peak in Changshan Islands. The environmental protection of the mountains is a horseshoe-shaped bay, named Taiping Bay, which is a rare natural harbor in China. Before storm warning, a large number of fishing boats gathered in the harbor, and the masts were like forests, which was quite spectacular. The five-ridged sea cucumbers produced in the waters around sea island were well-known at home and abroad because they had more meat thorns than ordinary sea cucumbers and had higher nutritional value. In 2013, the "sea island Sea Cucumber" declared by haiyang town Agriculture and Fisheries Service Station in Changhai County passed the examination by the Agricultural Products Quality and Safety Center of the Ministry of Agriculture and organized expert review, and implemented the registration and protection of national agricultural products geographical indications. The geographical protection scope of sea cucumbers in sea island is defined as the coastal waters within 10 ~ 40m in the east, west, south and north of sea island. The geographical coordinates are 123 06 ′ 01 ″ ~ 123 13 ′ 39 ″ east longitude and 39 00 ′ 33 ″ ~ 39 06 ′ 41 ″ north latitude. Sea island sea cucumber is a geographical indication product of agricultural products.
