Lushun cherry

Lushun cherry is a specialty of Lushunkou District, Dalian City, Liaoning Province. As the "hometown of big cherries in China", Lushunkou District enjoys a good reputation for its quality and taste. Lushun cherry is a national product protected by geographical indications of agricultural products. Lushun Big Cherry has a long history of cultivation. It has been a hundred years since it was introduced in the last century. Now the whole region has developed 102,000 mu of big cherry, resulting in 50,000 mu of trees, and 44 high-standard 1,000-mu big cherry demonstration gardens have been built, with the total output exceeding 20,000 tons, and it has won the honorary title of "China Big Cherry Town". Lushun Big Cherry has been recognized as a "national geographical indication certification" agricultural product by the Ministry of Agriculture. In 2010, the "Lushun Big Cherry" declared by the Agricultural Technology Extension Center of Lushunkou District passed the examination of the Agricultural Products Quality and Safety Center of the Ministry of Agriculture and organized expert review, and implemented the registration and protection of national geographical indications of agricultural products. The geographical protection scope of Lushun Big Cherry: Lushunkou District is located at the southernmost tip of Liaodong Peninsula, east to Huangnichuan Village of Longwangtang Street, west to Dadianzi Village of Shuangdaowan Street, south to Chenjia Village of Tieshan Street and north to Zhaojia Village of Great Wall Street. Geographical coordinates are 120o57 ′-121o28 ′ 30 ″ east longitude and 38o40 ′-39o10 ′ north latitude.
