Xinmin city, located in the middle of Liaoning Province, is the most important famous base for producing vegetable seeds in China. It is also the hometown of vegetable seeds in China with science and technology and development potential. The planting area of vegetable seeds in the city is 200,000 mu, with nearly 100 varieties in 8 categories, with an annual output of 20 million kilograms of improved varieties. There are 11 towns, 14 townships, 5 streets and 338 administrative villages in the city. It is an emerging city that integrates the advantages of location, transportation and resources. Rice is planted in the east of Liaohe River, and corn, sorghum and soybean are planted in other areas. It is one of the commodity grain bases in Liaoning Province.
