It was named by the People's Government of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region in 1990. Historically, it has been domesticated as far back as 5000 years ago. As an ancient original variety, it has formed many unique biological characteristics that adapt to desert grassland in the process. The two peaks stand upright in a conical shape, with a height of 30 ~ 40 cm and a peak interval of 30 ~ 40 cm. The breasts are small and square. The average body height of adult male camel is 172.3 cm, and that of female camel is 168.8 cm. Alashan camel is divided into desert camel and Gobi camel. Alashan bactrian camel has good service performance and is a good draught animal for riding, pulling and carrying. The hauling load can reach 1 ton, the carrying load can reach 175 kilograms, and the daily journey is 35 kilometers. It is feasible for a single person to ride 53 kilometers a day. The distribution range is mainly distributed in Alashan Zuoqi and Alashan Youqi in Inner Mongolia, as well as Hexi Corridor in Gansu Province. There were 320,000 peaks in Inner Mongolia in 1981. There were 67,000 peaks in Gansu in 1980. The average body height of adult male camel is 172.3 cm, and that of female camel is 168.8 cm. Alashan camel can produce cashmere, lactation, service and meat. The female camel can be over 20 years old and can produce 7 ~ 10 camel lambs in her life.
