Agate gem

Non-metallic mineral crystals with hardness above Mohs 6, bright and pure color, high transparency and meeting the technological requirements are called gems, which are mainly used as jewelry. Known gem minerals in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region include ruby, sapphire, aquamarine, emerald, topaz, blue sky, amethyst, hair crystal, red garnet, mazi and so on. Aquamarine and topaz, which are more than a thousand centimeters long in geological museum, are produced in Inner Mongolia. Agate is the most widely distributed gem, from Alashan Zuoqi in Alashan League to Molidawa Daur Autonomous Banner in Hulunbeier League. The prospective reserves of agate rank first in China.
