Hetao watermelon

Watermelon has a long history of cultivation in Hetao area of Bayannaoer city, and it is famous for its large size, sweet taste, juicy taste and refreshing taste. The main varieties are introduced hybrids, including Xinong 8, Jincheng 7, Qihang 901 and Fengkang 88. In 2001, the planting area of Bayannaoer City was 59,000 mu, the yield per mu was 3,500 kg, and the total output was 210 million yuan. Due to the unique and superior climatic conditions in Hetao area of Bayannaoer city, the soluble solid content of watermelon is about 12%, which is a good melon for people to quench their thirst in summer. In addition to local consumption, products are sold to Baotou, Hohhot, Tianjin, Shanghai, Northeast China and some provinces and regions in the south.
