Hulun lake carp

Hulun Lake is one of the five largest freshwater lakes in China, also known as Dalai Lake. Hulun Lake is an irregular oblique rectangle with the axis from northeast to southwest, with a length of 93 kilometers, a maximum width of 41 kilometers, a lake perimeter of 447 kilometers and a lake area of 2,339 square kilometers. The average water depth is 5.7 meters and the maximum water depth is 10 meters. There are 30 species and another subspecies of fish in Hulun Lake and its affiliated waters, belonging to 3 orders and 6 families. Among them, CYPRINIDAE accounts for 23 species and another subspecies, which is the vast majority of the flora. There are 26 species of CYPRINIDAE (2 species of Misguridae and 1 species of Siluridae), only 4 species of non-CYPRINIDAE, 2 species of CYPRINIDAE, 1 species of Cynodontidae and 1 species of Codiformes. The main economic fish in Hulun Lake and its affiliated rivers and lakes are carp, crucian carp, red-fin catfish, Mongolian red catfish, oil-eating minnows (Bayeux and Mongolian Bayeux), pike and catfish. When you visit Hulun Lake, you must try the world-famous "All Fish Banquet". Precious fish dishes, such as "Carp Jumping at the Dragon Gate", "Two Dragons Playing with Beads" and "Three Presents of Carp", are not only nutritious, fresh and delicious, but also beautiful and lifelike, just like artistic treasures. In 2014, "Hulun Lake Carp" declared by Hulun Buir Fishery Technology Extension Station passed the examination by the Agricultural Products Quality and Safety Center of the Ministry of Agriculture and organized expert review, and implemented the registration and protection of national agricultural products geographical indications. The regional protection scope of carp in Hulun Lake: Xinbaerhu Zuoqi, Xinbaerhu Youqi and Manzhouli under the jurisdiction of Hulun Buir City.
