Arong Banner Tussah

Arong Banner is the largest tussah stocking base in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. In order to promote the strong development of this characteristic industry, Arong Banner has formulated the Development Plan of Tussah Industry in Arong Banner from 2010 to 2013, guiding and supporting silkworm farmers to take the development path of integrating agriculture, education, trade, industry and agriculture by building professional villages and commodity cocoon bases. The sericulture department divided the sericulture in the whole flag into seven professional and technical service areas, and each area focused on professional and technical training. At the same time, knowledge books such as Sericulture Technical Manual and Sericulture Knowledge Question and Answer were distributed to sericulture farmers to provide technical support for sericulture farmers. By strengthening the management of silkworm farms and carrying out scientific, standardized and rational stocking methods of tussah, the development area of tussah forests suitable for silkworms in the whole banner has achieved a good development momentum of 500 pieces per year for five consecutive years. There are 29 professional cooperatives of tussah in the whole banner, and the silkworm farms have become a natural green barrier for windbreak and sand fixation in the banner. Through the organic combination of ecological benefits and economic benefits of tussah forests, a win-win situation of beauty and development has been achieved.
