Cheat horse banquet was a grand palace banquet in the Yuan Dynasty. More than 700 years ago, when Kublai Khan, the great ancestor of the Yuan Dynasty, visited the capital every year, he always gave a big banquet to entertain clansmen, ministers, attendants and other people, also known as the "quality sun banquet", that is, the cheat horse banquet. This is a kind of celebration activity integrating feasting, singing and dancing, games and competitions, and it was the most luxurious and grand banquet at that time. Participants in the quality sun banquet must wear quality sun clothes. The banquet lasts for three days, and the participants change clothes every day. Modern "Cheating Horse Banquet" is a grand banquet form launched by high-star hotels and 4A-level scenic spots in Inner Mongolia. The venue, admission form and activities of the banquet all reproduce the luxury and solemnity of the court banquet in the Yuan Dynasty, and its food integrates Mongolian traditional cuisine into one banquet. The most famous dish at the Cheat Horse Banquet is roasted whole cattle, and the cooking method is basically the same as that of roasted whole sheep. The skinned whole cattle should be put into a roasted cow cellar and baked for two days and two nights before being released from the oven. When the roast whole cow on the table was slowly pushed into the hall with red silk and yellow silk, elegant ancient music followed. When the silk was opened and the whole cow was roasted on the horizontal side with golden red color, the banquet hall suddenly boiled, and then a whole set of grand and warm banquet etiquette began to welcome distinguished guests from all sides. In addition to roasting the whole cow, the cheat horse banquet is also equipped with a variety of precious traditional dishes, mainly mutton, such as hand-held meat. The drinks include koumiss, white wine and fruit wine, and there are Mongolian songs and dances and entertainment activities during the dinner.
