"Laohe" rice

Guluban Artemisia Township in Aohan Banner is located on the right bank of Laoha River downstream of Hongshan Reservoir, and is a famous rice town in Aohan Banner. Natural river water is irrigated by gravity, which makes it unique to grow rice. The paddy field in the township covers an area of 30,000 mu, with an annual output of 12 million kilograms of high-quality rice. The main varieties are Fengyou 301, Fengyou 516, Fengyou 307, etc. At the same time, sticky rice, black fragrant rice and white fragrant rice are also produced. In 2002, the technology of raising crabs in rice fields was successfully introduced to Banhao Township in Gulu. Because raising crabs in rice fields reduced the use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides, the rice produced was pollution-free, so the local people called it "ecological crab rice". "Laohe" brand is a trademark registered by the State Administration for Industry and Commerce in 2000. This brand of rice is made of natural, green and pollution-free rice, with excellent quality. Compared with other similar rice, "Laohe" rice is slender, crystal clear, oily and fragrant, and has excellent taste. The rice has been exported to Beijing, Shanghai, Hebei, Liaoning and other places, and is well received by customers inside and outside the region.
