Ningcheng county Prunus armeniaca

Prunus armeniaca is a deciduous shrub or small tree of Rosaceae. Prunus armeniaca in Ningcheng County includes Liaoxing, Prunus armeniaca and Prunus sibirica. Apricot trees are sunny, cold-resistant, drought-resistant, fast-growing and long-lived. Their nuts are edible and have high economic value. Almonds, also known as "bitter almonds", can be used as medicine and can treat many diseases. Hundreds of thousands of acres of barren hills have been planted in Ningcheng County, Inner Mongolia. Prunus armeniaca has improved the local ecological environment and become a "cash cow" for farmers and a raw material base for enterprises. At present, Ningcheng has built more than 200,000 mu of apricot base, increasing farmers' income by more than 12 million yuan every year in 16 towns.
