Baotou is the earliest area in Inner Mongolia where wool was used to weave carpets. During the Tongzhi period in Qing Dynasty, two masters, Xing and surnamed tang, came from Ningxia to teach carpet weaving technology, and then the carpet weaving technology was spread to Guisui (now Hohhot). The earliest carpet houses in Baotou were Sanhe, followed by more than 20 households including Tianhoucheng, Shuangjiqing, Jiqinggong, Qianyicheng, Tongyichang and Xiangji. The three-blue carpet woven in Baotou has three characteristics: first, it is woven with the wool money from the local Fusheng Garden. This kind of earth-blue dyed wool never follows the color, and it is not afraid of the wind and the sun. The longer the age, the brighter the color, and people call it "true color". Dyeing room dyed wool in three colors: dark blue, light blue and blue. The carpet woven with these three blues is called three blue carpets. Second, the three blue carpets are mainly wool spun from sheep wool (preferably lamb wool), which makes the carpets soft and light in texture. Third, the carpet pattern is "sampled from the sky and woven from the world", and the pattern comes from nature, auspicious clouds, birds and animals, flowers, chess, calligraphy and painting, etc.
