Lanxian potato

Lanxian potato is a specialty of Lanxian in Lvliang. Potatoes produced in Lanxian County are bright in color, high in starch, not easy to rot, and contain more nutrients such as starch, protein and vitamin C than potatoes from other places. Lan County is located in the northwest of Shanxi Province, with a cool climate, large temperature difference between day and night, and sandy loam soil. Planting potatoes has a unique natural advantage. Lan County, Lvliang City is one of the main potato producing areas in Shanxi Province. In 2011, the potato planting area in Lan County reached 250,000 mu, accounting for more than 40% of the total planting area in the county. In the construction of production base, the county has established the original seed breeding base mainly in three towns: Dashetou, Hekou and Jiehekou. Establish a first-class seed potato breeding base mainly in six towns: Dashetou, Hekou, Jiehekou, Wangshi, Shunhui and Lancheng; Master plan for establishing green food potato base in six towns: Wangshi, Lancheng, Tuyu, Hekou, Dashetou and Shunhui. It is understood that the county has also registered the "Lanxian Potato" trademark, established the Potato Association, and has 23 potato farmers' professional cooperatives and 478 potato brokers. Potato industry is changing from extensive production to standardized production, and gradually becomes the most dynamic industry in the agricultural field of Lanxian County, and becomes an important way for local farmers to increase their income and get rich.
