Dioscorea houma

Houma yellow ginger Houma Chinese herbal medicine. Among them, Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch, Rehmannia glutinosa and Dioscorea zingiberensis are famous, and Herba Artemisiae Scopariae was included in Li Shizhen's Compendium of Materia Medica. Dioscorea zingiberensis, whose rhizome is cylindrical, often has irregular branches with different lengths and diameters of 1.5-3cm. The surface is brown and rough, with obvious longitudinal wrinkles and white polka-dot root marks. It is hard, silty and orange in cross section. It tastes bitter.
