Linfen eel

Eel is also called eel, river eel, white eel and green eel. Eel meat is delicious, tender and has little fiber, which belongs to high-protein edible fish, also known as ginseng in water and soft gold in fish, and is one of China's export products. At present, there are two eel farms in Xiangfen County, namely Jinfu Eel Industry Co., Ltd. and Funing Eel Farm. The third eel farm has started construction. Jinfu Eel Industry Co., Ltd. has built 50 closed, high-density and constant-temperature intensive ponds with a total area of 5,200 square meters. In February 1998, it bought back 300,000 eels, and by August 2000, all of them were sold in batches. This year, another 300,000 fry were invested, and now they are growing well; Funing eel farm invested 700,000 fry in 1999 and 600,000 fry this year. The prospects are considerable.
