Pianguan millet

Pianguan County is located in the loess hilly region, with rolling hills and criss-crossing gullies. It is a typical small miscellaneous grain production area. The millet produced is golden in color and smooth in taste. When porridge is boiled, a layer of rice oil skin will be formed on the liquid surface, which has high nutritional value. Tested by the Grain Quality Testing Center of the Ministry of Agriculture, it contains 11.20% crude protein, 4.84% crude fat, 17.28% amylose, 80mm gel consistency, and 3.4 alkali dissipation index. It has the functions of harmonizing stomach, sleeping, keeping fit and beautifying face, and is a tonic suitable for the elderly, patients and parturients. Location: 224 administrative villages in 9 townships including Xinguan Town, Laoying Town, Tianfengping Town, Wanjiazhai Town, Shangyu Township, Lougou Township, Shuiquan Township, Yaotou Township and Chenjiaying Township under the jurisdiction of Pianguan County, Shanxi Province. Pianguan millet is a geographical indication product of agricultural products.
