Huye

It's the leaves of Hu Ye Shu. Huxuye grows in Zhongtiaoshan area and is a deciduous shrub. The leaves are about seven or eight inches long and five or six inches wide. They are oblong and have round teeth at the edges. Local people used to use it as a cage cloth for steamed buns. Hu Ye can raise silkworms. Some people have experimented with stocking tussah and collecting cocoons in the Huye forest of Zhongtiaoshan Mountain, and the economic benefits are quite good. Huye is a good green packaging material for food, which is beneficial to human body and has no pollution to the environment. In recent years, people have bought a large number of Hu leaves from the eastern mountainous areas of Pinglu and exported them to Japan as food packaging materials.
