Shouyang Xiaomi

Shouyang has a long history and many varieties of millet. There are more than 10 varieties of local farmers, such as "Dabaigu", "Chaisuo" and "Snake Valley". In recent years, new science and technology have been adopted, and more than ten new varieties have been cultivated and introduced. At present, there are more than 30 varieties of millet planted in the county. The planting area is 16,000 hectares, with a total output of 40,000 tons. Shouyang millet has a fat content as high as 3.22%, a soluble sugar content of 1.5%, and a protein content higher than that of other producing areas. Shouyang millet is very popular among local people because of its high nutritional value. In recent years, in addition to self-food, it also sells 22.5 million kilograms every year, mainly to Yangquan, Taiyuan and Shijiazhuang. Shouyang Xiaomi Yin Lingzhi, Chaoyang, Mashou, Jingshang, Shanghu, Yangtouya, Xiluo and Songta in Shouyang County, Shanxi Province, covers 104 natural villages in 8 mountainous areas. The geographical coordinates are 112 46 ′-113 28 ′ east longitude and 37 32 ′-38 05 ′ north latitude.
