Daqingshan sheep

Daqingshan sheep is mainly produced in Zuoquan county, with 210,000 existing pens and 126,000 ewes, with an annual survival rate of 119,000 lambs and an annual slaughter rate of 80,000. Main features: tall, strong physique, symmetrical body structure, plump muscles, both male and female sheep with horns, few without horns, straight back and waist, plump buttocks, stout limbs, solid hoof, blue fur, snow blue, occasionally thrush, thick, long and shiny outer fur, and purple inner fluff. Adult ram weighs 37 kg, with an average fleece of 135 grams; Adult ewes weigh 30 kilograms, with an average fleece of 115 grams; In that year, the average weight of Jie sheep was 18 kg, the slaughter rate was 48% and the net meat rate was 36%. The average weight of adult goats is 44 kg, the slaughter rate is 51%, and the net meat rate is 42%. Mutton is purplish red, dense, tender and delicious, and has a small smell. Cashmere is 2.36-2.86 cm in length, 14-14.36 microns in diameter and 80 pieces in fineness, which is purple velvet.
