"Bagong Welsh Onion" is one of the four famous native products in Shanxi Province in the early days. Because of its unique quality, it is as famous as Shanxi Fensa and Qingxu Vinegar. It is characterized by large scallion, single stem per plant, thick and solid scallion meat, fine structure, strong and spicy taste, higher nutritional components and fungicides than ordinary scallion, and its anti-cancer index can reach 26%, which has high edible value and medicinal function. Bagong Town, Zezhou County is located in Linggang, with red clay soil and dry air, which adapts to the growth habit of green onions and likes to cool, and is very suitable for planting. Since 2000, in order to protect this traditional variety, the professional cooperative of Bagong Shuangfengyuan Welsh Onion in Zezhou County has redeveloped Bagong Welsh Onion, which has expanded the planting area of Bagong Welsh Onion to more than 5,000 mu by breeding traditional fine varieties and reasonable planting methods and strictly following the rules of pollution-free food production, and established a corresponding marketing network, which has accelerated the development of Bagong Welsh Onion planting. Scope of protection: 14 towns and 3 townships including Bagong Town, Gaodu Town, Dayang Town, Xiacun Town and Chengou Township in Zezhou County. Geographical coordinates are 112 31 ′ 00 ″ east longitude ~ 113 14 ′ 00 ″ north latitude ~ 35 12 ′ 00 ″ north latitude. Bagong scallion is a geographical indication product of agricultural products.
