Qiaoshi azure stone

The production of colored glaze has a long history and traditional techniques in ancient Jincheng, and the production of colored glaze in Yangcheng County is the most important. The Qiao family, a famous family of glass producers in Yangcheng, specializes in the production of black and green porcelain and glass, and is known far and near, and is called Qiao's glass. The glazed pagoda in Shousheng Temple, Yangcheng County (built in the Wanli period of Ming Dynasty) and the pavilion-style glazed pagoda in the main ridge of Dongyue Temple Dance Building (built in the first year of Qin Long in Ming Dynasty) all use Qiao's glazed. Due to the excellent quality of Qiao's glass, the glass lion in the Forbidden City in the Ming Dynasty and some glass products in the Ming Tombs were also made by Qiao in Yangcheng. Now, there are more than ten kinds of glaze colors, and the products are exported to overseas.
