Zaoqiang Red Fuji Apple

Zaoqiang Red Fuji Apple is a specialty of Zaoqiang County, Hengshui City, Hebei Province. Red Fuji apple produced in Zaoqiang County has bright red color, light yellow flesh, crisp meat, sweet flavor, sugar content of 14-15 degrees, soluble solid content of 13%, and high quality. Zaoqiang County has an area of more than 40,000 mu of red Fuji apples with an annual output of 50 million kilograms. Mainly concentrated in the four towns of Wangjun, Encha, Xiaozhang and Chengguan, especially the apple area in Wangjun Township has grown to nearly 10,000 mu, and 5,500 mu passed the pollution-free environmental assessment in 2003. The township has established a fruit wholesale market and fruit farmers' association, and declared the trademark of "Wang Jun" brand red Fuji apple to the State Administration for Industry and Commerce. Zaoqiang Forestry Bureau has promoted pollution-free fruit production in the county since 2002, 7,000 mu of apples passed the pollution-free environmental assessment in 2003, and the remaining 33,000 mu is ready to be declared. According to GB/T18406.2 "Safety Requirements for Pollution-free Fruits" and DB1311 Hengshui local standards, we have formulated our county's "Technical Regulations for Pollution-free Apple Production", so that the production is regulated, the supervision is standardized, and the fruits are pollution-free. Red Fuji apples produced in Zaoqiang County have an average single fruit weight of 250g, the maximum fruit weight of 400g, high fruit pile, full red fruit rate of over 80%, bright red color, light yellow flesh, crisp meat, sweet flavor, sugar content of 14-15 degrees, soluble solid content of 13%, and excellent quality. During the two festivals, it was supplied to the market until May of the following year, with long supply period and good economic benefits, which played a great role in the adjustment of agricultural structure and the increase of farmers' production and income.
