In the late 1960s, Wang Bocun introduced jade carving technology from Tianjin. At first, he only carved small jade pieces such as grapes, melons, fruits, pears and peaches. Later, he gradually mastered the technology of grinding and carving large and medium-sized jade pieces, and successively produced ladies, sets of buddhas, jade ruyi, flowers smoked, Yuhuan furnace, large buddhas, lying horses and monsters, etc., with fine craftsmanship and lifelike products.
