Yongqing carrot

Yongqing carrot is a specialty of Yongqing County, Langfang City, Hebei Province. Yongqing carrot is sweet and juicy, raw and crisp, and cooked food is sweet. Daxinge Township in Yongqing County is a veritable "hometown of carrots in China". Yongqing County has nearly 30,000 mu of carrots in summer stubble, with a total output of about 100 million Jin. It is the largest carrot planting county in the south of Beijing. The planting area covers many towns and villages such as housekeeping, Beixinliu, Caojiawu, Yangmazhuang, Daxinge and Yongqing Town, and tens of thousands of people are engaged in carrot planting, marketing and processing. The wholesale market of agricultural products in Daxinge Township is designated by the Ministry of Agriculture. Most carrots and white radishes produced in Yongqing County are sold to all parts of the country through this market. There are nearly 100 large-scale cold storage for carrots in the market. In the peak season of sales, more than 60 large trucks transport carrots to the cold storage every day, reaching hundreds at most and exporting thousands of tons of carrots every day. Merchants mainly come from Guangdong, Shanghai, Liaoning, Heilongjiang, Zhejiang, Jiangsu and other places. Some carrots are exported, some enter large wholesale markets, some enter supermarkets for retail, and some are stored by large vegetable enterprises. At present, the industrial chain of carrot planting, primary processing, refrigeration and storage in Yongqing County is relatively complete.
