Pingquan County, Chengde City was awarded the certificate of geographical indication of "Pingquan Mushroom" agricultural products by the Ministry of Agriculture, which effectively improved the popularity of Pingquan Mushroom brand and laid the foundation for building the hometown of edible fungi. In recent years, Pingquan has vigorously developed the circular economy of edible fungi and vigorously promoted the development of green edible fungi industry. Continuously introduce excellent varieties from other places and develop new varieties with their own characteristics, forming a development pattern of multi-mode annual production, which is supplemented by many varieties such as mushrooms, Pleurotus ostreatus, auricularia auricula and Pleurotus ostreatus. Four research institutes such as Edible Mushroom Research Institute, Edible Mushroom Research Association and Productivity Promotion Center have been established, and cooperation with research institutes such as China Academy of Agricultural Sciences and China Agricultural University has been strengthened. More than 10 new varieties have been introduced, and more than 20 new technologies have been developed and popularized, such as off-season Pleurotus ostreatus cultivation, waste recycling and development of grass-rot fungi, water-retaining film for mushrooms, and harmless prevention and control technology, which have greatly improved the scientific and technological content of the mushroom industry. It has cultivated and built famous brands such as Senyuan, Runlong, Gansui and Sanshu. Through the demonstration park of edible fungus processing technology and the standardized production base of fungi, the farmers and surrounding areas are driven by radiation, which effectively improves the popularization rate of new technologies. In 2010, a total of 210 million edible mushrooms were bagged, including 25 million framed mushrooms and 75 million ground-planted mushrooms. More than 150 planting parks were established in the county, with a total area of more than 6,500 mu and a standardized park area of more than 30,000 mu, with a standardized coverage rate of 86%. The county sold 48,300 tons of mushrooms. There are 19 townships in Wolong Town, Pingquan Town, Yangshuling Town, Taitoushan Township, Songshutai Township, Yushu Linzi Town, Maolan Ditch Township, Pingfang Township, Huangtu Liangzi Town, Beiwujiazi Town, Liuxi Township, Qijiadai Township, Qigou Town, Wangtufang Township, Dangba Town, Guozhangzi Township, Xiaosigou Town, Nanwujiazi Town and Daohugou Township in Pingquan County.
