Palace Imperial Cake is a specialty of Pingquan County, Chengde City, Hebei Province. Imperial cake is crispy and sweet, beautifully packaged, and it is a good product for entertaining VIPs and giving gifts to relatives and friends. As a gift, it is often brought to the United States, Canada, Taiwan Province, Hongkong and other countries and regions. The imperial palace cake, commonly known as sugar cake, was originally one of the imperial palaces in Qing Dynasty. When the chef Liu Decai lived in Bagou, he brought his craft here, and it has a history of more than 160 years. This cake is mainly made of refined flour, with more than a dozen ingredients such as white sugar, white oil, moss and roses. After many processes, it has golden color and silvery white edges. The cake is multilayer and as thin as paper. There are five kinds of cakes due to stuffing: white sugar, white buckwheat noodles and Nansha cakes with stuffing. Sugar, minced fat and stuffing are crystal cakes. White sugar and sand stuffing are sand cakes. White sugar, sesame seeds and stuffing are sesame paste cakes. Sesame oil, sugar, osmanthus and stuffing are hada cakes. Five kinds of cakes are packed in a box and marked with red dots on the cakes.
