Stone apricot is a specialty of Stone Village in Guanting Town, Huailai County, Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province. The stone-sliced apricot fruit has a large core and small core, thick meat and juicy, delicate texture, bright orange color, more soluble solid content and less crude fiber. Apricot meat is detached from the core, apricot fruit has strong fragrance, moderate sweetness and sourness, rich nutrition, digestion and appetite promotion, and it is a good product for nourishing human body. Named after Shipian Village, Huailai County, Hebei Province, "Shipian Huangxing" has a long history and is famous far and near. It is the top grade among apricots and has the reputation of "Shipian apricot, no need to ask". This apricot was a tribute to Emperor Kangxi of Qing Dynasty, and Chairman Mao used it to receive foreign guests such as President Nixon of the United States. In 1986, preserved apricots made from sliced apricot won the first prize in the quality of preserved apricots in Chinese township enterprises. In 1997, he won the Quality Product Award of Hebei Province Expo; In 2000, it was registered as "guanting lake" brand and "Stone Piece with Yellow Apricot" by the Provincial Administration for Industry and Commerce. The economic value of stone-sliced apricot is very high. It is a fresh and processed variety, with sweet and bitter varieties. It is an important raw material for making various kinds of preserved apricots, cakes, cold food and candy. At present, the apricot industrial belt with Shipian Village as the center has a planting area of 5,000 mu and an apricot flat area of 6,000 mu, with an annual output of 800,000 Jin of yellow apricot and 200,000 Jin of apricot flat, which is an important pillar industry of regional economic development. Since 2007, the village has successfully held four apricot picking festivals, and the cultural taste and popularity of apricot industry have been continuously improved.
