Liugouxing

Liugou apricot is a specialty of Liugou Village, Jiubao Township, Wanquan County, Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province. Jiubao Township, Wanquan County, closely combines the advantages of resources and regional characteristics, and makes every effort to build a traditional apricot industry with the brand of "Liugou Apricot", so that the traditional apricot planting will become an economic industry for the rich. Apricots have been planted in Liugou Village, Jiubao Township, Wanquan County for more than 400 years. The village has developed more than 30 new varieties through the "Sweet Apricot High-quality and High-yield Project", with a planting area of 4,500 mu, and has been identified as a fruit forest science and technology demonstration park by the Forestry Department of Hebei Province. Nowadays, Liugou apricot industry is developing into ecological agriculture and leisure agriculture integrating sightseeing, tourism and picking. In recent years, with the support of the supporting units in the village, Jiubao Township has improved the quality of fruit by newly grafting 100 mu of fresh apricot varieties with stone chips, and promoted it throughout the township as a breakthrough point, increasing economic benefits by more than 600,000 yuan every year. While expanding the scale of apricot planting with Liugou as the center, the township actively develops diversified mixed fruit forest planting. The apricot planting area in the township is more than 4,000 mu, with 5 mu of wine grapes and 100 mu of hanfu apples in special microclimate areas. The township also applied for the registration of fruit trademarks such as "Liugou Apricot", which further expanded its popularity and improved its market economic value. Through the development of sightseeing tourism with garden picking, sightseeing and enjoying flowers, leisure and entertainment as the main theme, the eco-tourism industry has developed.
