The development of fresh corn industry in Wanquan county has unique advantages: first, it has geographical advantages, and the quality of fresh corn produced ranks first in the country due to its unique location, soil and climate; Second, it has a gradually mature processing cluster, and there are 19 professional processing enterprises in the county, which is second to none in all counties and districts of the country; Third, it has achieved a unique industrial brand of "China's hometown of fresh corn"; Fourth, it has very convenient transportation conditions; Fifth, it inherits the tradition of maize seed production, and the research and development of special maize seed production is also in the forefront of the country. Local breeding and local planting have strong geographical adaptability. There are 19 fresh corn processing enterprises in the county, including 14 key leading enterprises in agricultural industrialization at or above the county level (2 at the provincial level and 9 at the municipal level). Among these processing enterprises, except Zhonglv Company, which specializes in processing sweet corn, the other 18 mainly process waxy corn. At present, the annual processing capacity of processing enterprises in the county is: 240 million ears of fresh waxy corn. In 2008, the processing capacity of fresh corn processing enterprises in the county reached 180 million ears. Products are mainly exported to South Korea, Japan, Russia, the United States, Canada and other countries, and the domestic market is mainly sold to Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei, and sold to Shanghai, Zhejiang, Mongolia, Shaanxi, Chongqing and other parts of the country.
