Wanquan corn

Wanquan County was recognized as the "Hometown of Fresh Corn in China" by the China Hometown of Specialty Recommendation and Publicity Activities Organizing Committee. At present, the fresh corn industry ranks first among the four leading industries in Wanquan agriculture, and the processing of fresh corn has become one of the five major processing bases in China. Wanquan County, Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province has superior climate and soil conditions, which is suitable for planting fresh corn. Here belongs to the continental monsoon climate of cold temperate zone, with distinct seasons, large temperature difference between day and night, long illumination time, and unique local soil conditions, the planted fresh corn has high viscosity, high sugar content and good taste. There are not only 60,000 mu of fresh corn planting area, but also 19 leading enterprises engaged in development and processing. The high degree of industrial agglomeration is rare in China. In December, 2006, Wanquan County was awarded the title of "Hometown of Fresh Corn in China" by the China Hometown of Specialty Recommendation and Publicity Activities Organizing Committee.
