Yuxian kernel apricot

Yuxian county is located in the mountainous area of northwest Hebei province, and it has unique conditions for planting apricot flat. In recent years, Yuxian county has combined farmers' poverty alleviation with the ecological environment construction around Beijing and Tianjin and the development of "four wastes", aiming at apricot flat planting, so that the apricot flat industry has achieved leap-forward development. At present, the county has 430,000 mu of apricot flat base, and has built a number of key apricot flat cultivation areas with an area of over 10,000 mu, such as Changning, Beishuiquan, Taohua, Jijiazhuang, Songjiazhuang, Bai Le, Nanyangzhuang and Baishu Township (town), and a large number of typical villages and households have emerged who rely on apricot flat to get rich. If all of them enter the full fruit period, the county's apricot flat kernel output can reach 20 million kilograms, and the output value can reach 600 million yuan. By the second half of 2004, the base had covered more than 90% of the towns and 60% of the agricultural population in the county. Among them, 51,000 poor people rely on apricot flat to get rid of poverty and become rich. In 2001, Yuxian County was named as "the hometown of apricot kernel in China" by the State Forestry Administration, and was determined as "the apricot flat production base county in Hebei Province" by the provincial government.
