In 1977, once the Great Wall brand dry white wine in our province came out, it made its debut in the world with its excellent color, aroma and taste, and won the reputation of domestic and foreign wine experts and consumers. At the third wine evaluation meeting in China, it was rated as a national high-quality famous wine and won the gold medal awarded by the State Council. In October, 1983, at the 14th International Wine Appraisal Conference held in London, England, it won the International Silver Award. The organizer International Brewing Club entrusted our embassy in Britain to award the silver medal to Great Wall Wine Company. This is the first time that the wine produced in China has won an international prize. Great Wall brand dry white wine is a new variety with unique flavor among the exported wines in our province, which is brewed by Great Wall Wine Company in our province. Great Wall Wine Company is located in Shacheng, an ancient city beyond the Great Wall in Wan Li. Since ancient times, it has been famous for its rich grapes inside and outside the Great Wall. Longan grapes produced locally are large in grain, thin in skin, thick in juice, purple and crystal in color, delicious in taste, with sugar content as high as 20 degrees and rich in vitamins. Great Wall dry white wine is made from this high-quality fresh longan grape by crushing and squeezing to obtain pure grape juice and closed fermentation. Its alcohol content is 12 degrees, its color is yellowish with fruit green, its wine quality is soft, its taste is fragrant, its sour and sweet taste is moderate, and its original fruit flavor is strong and enduring. Dry white wine has high nutritional value and medical value. Because it is brewed by closed fermentation of pure fruit juice, the substances beneficial to human body contained in longan grape itself are fully brought into play, which has the functions of stimulating appetite and refreshing the body, and is a good accompaniment for banquets and family drinks.
