Jade Articles in Dingzhou During the Qin, Han, Wei, Jin and Northern and Southern Dynasties (221 BC-A.D. 589), jade articles in Qin and Han Dynasties developed rapidly, and they were unearthed in Liu Sheng Tomb in Mancheng, Hebei Province, Ping Ling (Xianyang, Shaanxi Province) in the Western Han Dynasty, Weiling Tomb in Yuan Di (Xianyang, Shaanxi Province), Liu Yan Tomb of Zhongshan Jane in the Eastern Han Dynasty (Dingxian, Hebei Province), Liu Chang Tomb of Mu Wang in Zhongshan (Dingxian, Hebei Province) and Nanyue Tomb (Guangzhou). These jades are jade-like, exquisitely crafted, vivid in charm and free in posture. Because the Han dynasty advocated thick burial, jade articles buried with him included jade pillows, jade clothes, jade Huang and so on. Jade articles in the Eastern Han Dynasty gradually changed from the dynamic and three-dimensional artistic technique in the Western Han Dynasty to the artistic technique of combining plane, line carving and painting. The jades in the Wei, Jin, South and North Dynasties basically inherited the style of the jades in the Eastern Han Dynasty, and the production was relatively simple, and some of them had no ornamentation.
