Jihe white pig

Jihe White Pig is the first special supporting line for lean pigs bred in China. It is a major key project in Hebei Province during the Seventh Five-Year Plan and the Eighth Five-Year Plan. It was jointly undertaken by Dingzhou Breeding Farm, Beijing Agricultural University, Provincial Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Research Institute, Hebei Agricultural University, Baoding Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Bureau and state-owned Hangu Farm, starting in 1987 and completed in 1994. Appraised by national animal husbandry experts and professors, it is considered that this project is at the leading level of similar research in China. Jihe white pig is made up of three specialized strains: A, B and C. In the process of cultivation, the best genetic materials and advanced technologies at home and abroad are used, and the specialization characteristics of each line are realized.
