Laiyuan Mountain has a vast field, diverse climate, lush vegetation, many kinds of medicinal materials and high quality, with an annual total output of more than 5 million kilograms, ranking first in Hebei Province. In history, there is a saying that southern medicine is northern medicine, which refers to Anguo in the south and Laiyuan in the north. Baishishan and Henglingzi are the main producing areas. There are more than 150 kinds of popular medicinal materials in Dalu, such as Radix Bupleuri, Radix Saposhnikoviae, Radix Platycodi, Pheretima, Rhizoma Polygonati Odorati, Radix Scutellariae and so on. The mountaineers are carrying fifteen catties (seven catties and eight catties) in collecting herbs. Every summer, after hanging hoes, men and women flock to the mountains to collect herbs. It used to be said that water flows over a thousand layers of nets, and the nets have fish and shrimp. However, in recent years, mining and planing have become excessive and increasingly scarce, and it is necessary to recuperate and control.
