Mountain leek The mountain leek in Laiyuan County is one of the only specialties here. Amaranth is a perennial herb, about 30 cm high. Bulbs are cylindrical with fibrous scales. Rooted leaves, narrowly linear, 5 ~ 20 cm long, 0.3 cm wide, entire. Flowering stems are extracted from leaves, umbels are terminal, and the flowers are black and purple.
