Zhao's steamed buns are a special snack in Nanhe County, Xingtai City, Hebei Province. Zhaojia steamed buns are made from wheat flour, meat stuffing and onion. The method is simple. After being fermented as skin, seasoned with ten spices powder and ground with furnace incense powder, they can be eaten after being steamed in a steamer. They are fragrant, tender, not greasy, full of fragrance and thin skin and stuffing. According to legend, the steamed buns of the Zhao family originated in the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China. A family named Zhao opened a restaurant in Nanhe County, mainly engaged in steamed buns, which attracted hundreds of customers. For more than a hundred years, it has been passed down from generation to generation.
