Longyao chillies

Longyao pepper is a specialty of Longyao County, Xingtai City, Hebei Province. Pepper was once one of the important characteristic planting industries in Longyao County. It was once popular all over the country from the 1980s to the early 1990s and became one of the largest pepper production and export bases in the province. Longyao County, known as the "hometown of peppers", is a pepper export production base county in Hebei Province. Longyao County has a pepper planting area of 70,000 mu, with an annual output of about 15 million kilograms of dried peppers, which is famous for its thin skin, thick meat, high oiliness and strong spicy taste. Longyao peppers are mainly sold to Hong Kong, Japan, Sri Lanka and other countries and regions.
