Baixiang grapes

Baixiang grape is a specialty of Baixiang County, Xingtai City, Hebei Province. Grape planting in Baixiang County is a characteristic pillar industry of rural economy in this county, with more than 10 excellent varieties such as Kyoho, Tengren, Kelunsheng, Jingya and Jingxiu. It was rated as "the hometown of grapes in China". Baixiang County is located in the south of Jizhong Plain, with flat terrain, fertile land, four distinct seasons and abundant groundwater resources, which is suitable for grape cultivation. At present, grape cultivation has become a characteristic pillar industry of the rural economy in this county, with more than 10 excellent varieties such as Kyoho, Tengren, Kelunsheng, Jingya and Jingxiu. Since the 1990s, Baixiang County has vigorously developed the grape planting industry. After 20 years of development, the grape planting in this county has begun to take shape. By 2011, the grape planting area exceeded 36,000 mu, with an annual output of 57,000 tons, and the annual output exceeded 200 million yuan. In 2008 and 2009, Baixiang County registered trademarks such as "New Nanjiang", "Golden String" and "Korean Peony". In 2012, Baixiang County of Hebei Province was officially named "China Grape Town" by China Economic Forestry Association. Baixiang Grape has reached a certain scale by "increasing scale, improving quality and upgrading grade", and has passed the environmental assessment of pollution-free fruit producing areas, becoming a large table grape production base in southern Hebei, and its products have entered large and medium-sized cities such as Beijing, Tianjin and Shijiazhuang.
