Qian 'an paper industry has a long history. According to Qian 'an County Records, Qian 'an paper industry began in the later Han Dynasty and reached its peak in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties. Qian 'an Xuan paper is soft and pure, white and delicate, and it is not damaged by rubbing. After long-term storage, it does not change color, rot or decay, has good water absorption, is not easy to age, and is most suitable for mounting books, paintings and decorations. It has become one of the special handicrafts in China and is regarded as a treasure by painting and calligraphy artists. Qian 'an Xuan Paper is highly praised by famous calligraphers and painters at home and abroad. Products are sold all over the country. Rong Baozhai Art Service Department, Palace Museum, Tianjin Yangliuqing Painting Shop and so on are perennial ordering units of Qian 'an Xuan paper. Most of the products are exported to more than ten countries and regions such as Japan, Southeast Asia, Europe and the United States every year. Qian 'an City is located in the Luanhe River basin, with barren white sands. The mulberry fiber produced is long, fine and flexible, and has strong tensile force, which is a superior raw material for making calligraphy and painting paper. Its production history can be traced back to the early Ming Dynasty more than 500 years ago.
