Zunhua Lentinus edodes is a specialty of zunhua city, Tangshan City, Hebei Province. There are more than 5,000 households and more than 60,000 people engaged in edible fungi production and management in 16 towns and villages in zunhua city, and more than 5,000 greenhouses have been built, with a production scale of 110 million sticks and an annual output of 120,000 tons of fresh mushrooms. zunhua city has become the largest edible fungi production base in northern China. In 2008, it was identified as "the hometown of mushrooms in China" by the National Edible Fungi Association. The suitable area for cultivation of Lentinus edodes in northern China is 36 ~ 41 north latitude, that is, north of the Yellow River and south of the Great Wall. Zunhua city is located at about 40 north latitude, which belongs to the obvious continental monsoon weather in warm temperate zone. The four seasons are distinct, the rainy season is concentrated, dry and windy, and the annual sunshine is 2800h h. Mushrooms are suitable for cultivation in all seasons, but the winter and spring mushrooms cultivated in solar greenhouse have the highest yield and the best benefits. In 1994, zunhua city introduced excellent strains from Shandong Province, Zhejiang Province and Fujian Province. After three years of production, demonstration and application, new varieties of excellent strains with moderate and low temperature, such as Zunxia No.1 and 9809, which are suitable for the natural climate conditions in northern China, were selected. At present, these varieties have become the main varieties of mushroom production in zunhua city in winter and spring. Zunhua city, a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Tangshan City, is located in the northeast of Hebei Province. In recent years, the mushroom industry is the pillar industry and characteristic industry of zunhua city, and zunhua city enjoys the reputation of "the hometown of mushroom in Hebei Province" and "the hometown of mushroom in China". In 2011, the production scale of Lentinus edodes reached more than 130 million sticks, with an output of nearly 140,000 t and a total output value of 900 million yuan. Zunhua mushroom is a geographical indication product of agricultural products. Zunhua Lentinus edodes is produced in 39 villages in zunhua city, including Ping 'an City Village 1, Ping 'an City Village 2, Ping 'an City Village 3, Ping 'an City Village 4, Dongmenzhuang and Housuotun Village. The geographical coordinates are 117 43 ′ 42 ″ ~ 117 50 ′ 37 ″ east longitude and 40 00 ′ 19 ″ ~ 40 05 ′ 56 ″ north latitude.
