Big black melon

Daheituo Village, Hujiatuo Town, Laoting County, Hebei Province is the former residence of revolutionary pioneer Comrade Li Dazhao. Farmers' income mainly depends on the production of cucumber and melon in shed, and the planting area has reached 1800 mu, with 395 households and 980 employees. In 2010, the total economic income of the village was 43.16 million yuan, of which the production income of cucumber and melon in greenhouse was 33.55 million yuan, accounting for 77.7% of the total income. The per capita net income of farmers in this village is 10,593 yuan, exceeding 25% of the per capita net income of farmers in the county. Daheituo village makes full use of the advantages of fruit and vegetable resources in facilities and develops the construction of one village and one product. In 2008, Tangshan Changhua Juice Co., Ltd. was established in this village, with an annual output of 50,000 tons of fruit and vegetable juice. According to the current market price, the annual output value can reach 260-300 million yuan, with a profit of more than 60 million yuan. Now the company has become a powerful provincial leading enterprise. In 2009, Jin Xin Fruit and Vegetable Cooperative was established in Daheituo Village, with a registered capital of 6.3 million yuan and 248 villagers. In 2010, the cooperative achieved sales income of 48.07 million yuan. Cooperatives organized the production, purchase, warehousing, sub-packaging and transportation of fruits and vegetables in a unified way, which not only solved the employment problem of a number of rural surplus laborers, but also organized villagers to study and inspect, hired senior agricultural technicians of county science and technology associations to train agricultural scientific knowledge for villagers, and established a platform for the popularization and management of science and technology, including distance education, internet plus experts' explanation, farmers and bases. In addition, Daheituo Village also relies on Li Dazhao's former residence and ecological agriculture industry to build a red tourism education base, roads and miniature landscapes, which not only promotes the spiritual civilization construction of the village, but also increases the income of villagers. Now Guizhen Garden, Fruit Picking Garden and Farming Experience Garden have begun to take shape.
